530 Techno is a dope little Digital techno label based out of northern California. They are putting out The Hermans first ep this summer. Their Latest upcoming release, by Oilpanic is really nice and features a sweet remix by one of my personal faves Brendon Moeller (aka Ecologist/beatpharmacy) We are truly stoked to be contributing to the labels already awsome catalog and hope we help in bringing this quality imprint at least a few more fans, not to say they dont already have a good following, with support from artists such as Seth Troxler, Lee Curtis, Christain Martin, Alland Byallo, Ritchey Hawtin, and even the infamous Axwell (of Swedish House Mafia fame)... John Tejadais a name which I will admit I hear quite a bit, but which I regrettably have little experience with - - in terms of time spent - - knowingly - - listening to his tracks. The guy is a legend in his own right, based simply on the number of nasty labels he has released on, some of which can be seen by checking out his resident advisor DJ page or his Discogs page. Dude makes some serious freaking tuners that will leave you in diapers eating out of a fucking airplane spoon - - face it, guys like this will always make producers like us feel like children. Oh well, at least the peach puree tastes damn good. Much on these.
I can see this tune being a soundtrack to some of my better days for sure. Or a song I would cry to while thinking of how much I love the girl who just dumped me. Either way, useful and good for the emotional roller coaster rides.

Murr & Rosina: Killin shit like it's nobody's business.
I met some super special people today with Max the Fax to discuss a future collaboration for a late night event. What made this meeting even more special is that both Max and I have been big fans of these two for quite some time, but only recently connected with them in person after some dialogue over the infamous Facebook.
The two people I speak of are Murrand Rosina, a Canadian couple who make wonderful music that we have been following for quite some time - - yet didn't even know were from our hometown of Toronto until quite recently. I was a huge fan of their 2008 release "Fables and Fairytales" on Kuji Records which later was modified with Adam Marshall and did very well in 2009 with remixes by Deniz Kurtelthrough Crosstown Rebels. Apparently Damian Lazarus heard the tune and immediately wanted it for his coveted Crosstown imprint. "NA" (which stood for "Nick" and "Adam") had Rosina's A-grade vox on it, and the trio was responsible for shaking the worlds dancefloors for about two years straight.

Nick Murray aka Murr is a nasty techno and house producer who has a number of releases on Adam Marshall's Berlin-based imprint New Kanada, and on other labels such as 53oTechno, Public Transit Records, Kuji, DNH (Nick Holders Old Label) and more.Murr should be a lot bigger than he is, this guy seriously brings that grease - - I absolutely love this third Re-Edit by Marshall.
Rosina and Murr have another - - 3-person project - - together called LAL Forest, whichreleases really cool music that brings together many diffierent elements in music to create a completely unique fusion of sound unlike almost anything I have ever heard. MY name isn't Daniel Diamond, but I wash my hair every day.
I have been asked a couple of times now whether or not I am Daniel Diamond the producer. The last person to ask me was Luke Pompey - - owner of Love Not Money records in the UK - - who wishes I was because he loves the 2002 track Champu (Shampoo) by the mysterious producer. The upbeat shaker was released on City Rockers, an active label through 2001-2007 which released a number of joints by Felix Da Housecat. Sorry Luke, but it's not me. My facebook name is Daniel Diamond, and I can't change it which sucks ass because now people call me Daniel instead of Dan. Brutal. I also get asked regularily whether or not I am Jewish... and despite the "Daniel Diamond" facebook handle, I am not Jewish, and in fact my real last name is Tracy. Anyways, I love this tune as much as Luke does, so here we go. Foam that bitch up proper!!
While we are here, I thought it would be cool to share some music by Luke Pompey, someone I was completely unaware of until he contacted me accidentally following my post on BUBBA's new remix on his Love Not Money label a couple of days ago. I have been doing some research on Luke as a result and realized he did an official remix of Real Nice & Cubiq'stune Had Enough, which has recieved play on BBC's Radio 1. Understandable as the original is extremely popular and his remix is a lovers jam worthy of making it onto the finest porn money can buy. Sprinkle some rose pedals on your girl's bed and play this little nugget for her - - I bet you will get laid. Maybe.

Recently Deep North resident and longtime friend Boots Boogie dropped a live set on In My Room Radio with GL!TCH - - a big influence of Boots' - - and apparently dropped a nice set of Disco House, House, Deep House and smoking hot unreleased exclusives, including "Lie to Me" by Sean Romanand Myself (aka Dick Diamonds) which is forthcoming on Bubba's new label Runnin Wild in May/June. Thanks Boots!! The tune, which we are super stoked on, was recently charted by Sacha Robottiand played by him in his play.fm mix with Mr. Ho. Deep love for you all.

While we talk about people who like some disco flavour, let's just peep some samples of the next Clouded Visionrelease (CV007), a two song EP by none other than BUBBA- - a favourite of Boots Boogie's and a constant fixture in Deep North sets. While this release is not disco at all, we all know that the Bubs loves a good funky disco dunk here and there. But for this one, it's signature BIG BASS 4 YOUR FAAAAAAAAAAAAACE. We Need A Change is absolutely massive and gets people freaking the fuck out every time. Now get real and hit the floor. Dance club hustle.

I hate the title of this post, it's so fucking predictable it makes me sick.
Despite being like 37 hours late, I'm not going to apologize because I am currently in Brazil, trying to stay away from all the bleeps and bloops that surround me on the day to day. So excuse our slowdown over here, we will be back in action just in time for our Late & Deep #9 event with none other than Toronto's Hushlamb Crew. The first event of 2012 will feature performances by each one of our favourite acts - - Alicia Hush, Ana+One, Talal & Zoi and Zaid Edghaim - - from the crew, a serious barrage of heat that our city should look forward to seeing pump out of the infamous 40Hz Soundsystemon January 21st. [2am - 6am]
Oh yeah, four of our resident DJs -- Book, Boots Boogie, Max the Fax and myself -- will be going b2b2b2b for the opening three hours of this party [11pm - 2am].
We dedicate this event to the wonderful Miss O'Brien and her fabulous crew, a motley crew of miscreants who love it late & deep - - like real late & deep. And of course to the whole Hushlamb Crew, we love you guys.
